study abroad HEALTH INSURANCE
Sclool requires that all students studying abroad be covered by appropriate sickness and accident insurance for the duration of the program and that they be financially responsible for all medical expenses. In most instances, medical expenses abroad will have to be paid out of pocket and reimbursement later from the insurance carrier. Each student will be asked to provide the name of their insurance carrier, along with the number and date of expiration of the policy under which they are insured.
The insurance may be purchased through the School or directly from other Healthcare providers. Students in need of insurance coverage abroad should consult student services and the study abroad office for suggestions.
Proof of accidental and hospital insurance must be submitted along with application for admission. Students who can prove that they have comparable insurance coverage will not be required to purchase insurance through the school.
